Late Claims after the Late Claims Plan Deadline
Those persons who were granted permission to make a Late Claim by a Late Claims Referee must file their Late Claim with the Administrator within 2 years of the date that the Late Claims Referee granted them permission to make a Late Claim.
The HCV Late Claims Benefit Plan provides Late Claims may still be available, after March 31, 2025, to secondarily-infected spouses and children of those HCV infected persons with approved Late Claims who are making a claim for their own secondary infection provided they meet the deadline that applies to their claim.
Additionally Late Claims may be available to the estates, family members and/or dependants of HCV infected persons with approved Late Claims who subsequently died, if HCV materially contributed to that death. Please note that there are also deadlines that apply to any such Late Claims.
