58. A brief summary of the work of the Joint Committee
in the past 16 months is set out in Schedule
"V".
59. In the 16 month period ending March 31, 2001, the total
Joint Committee fees and disbursements were approximately
$1,200,000 exclusive of GST and PST. No amounts have been
or will be paid to the Joint Committee without prior court
approval of the fees and disbursements. The Joint Committee
estimates that the fees for the year April 1, 2001 to March
31, 2002 will be lower than in Year 1. Less time will be
spent on start up and administrative functions. However
it is expected that the actuarial review required by June
of 2002 and the on going administrative functions will occupy
a significant amount of time.
